Tell my students that it is great honor to win the Olympic Games.
Step 2 Pre-reading
Keep asking my students some questions like “do you like to watch Olympic Games and do you know the history of Olympic Games?” to draw their attention back to today’s topic.
Step 3 While-reading
1, Global reading: Ask students to read the passage for the first time, and ask students what is this passage mainly about? And the answer to this question is the similarities and differences between ancient and modern Olympic Games.
2, Detailed reading: Ask students to read the passage for the second time, and ask students to write the detailed information about what exactly are the similarities and differences between the ancient and modern Olympic Games, and then ask students to fill in the blanks on the blackboard.

Step 4 post-reading
Let students make a debate about the advantage and disadvantage of hosting the olympic games. During their debating, I will write some of their ideas on the blackboard and then share their wonderful idea with the rest of the class. At last, I will remind them to be proud of their motherland.
